DOCUMENTARY ABOUT OFFTR (OFFTHERAILS)
The main idea of the documentary is to bring light to the hard work that young artists (like myself) do alongside their university degree in order to achieve their goals. For a lot of musicians, their university degree is seen as a back up option for their music career if that wasn't to work out. OFFTHERAILS is an alternative music collective of diverse 18-23 year olds who are working towards making it in the music industry, they are unlike other music collectives as they also are a record label, who are committed to doing everything independently. Doing everything independently (writing, recording, sound engineering, promotional videos, music videos, social media etc.) They are inspired by artists that were in the same position as them a few years ago, who worked independently to build a record company, or build their music career and managed to suceed. OFFTHERAILS have now managed to get a big break with a show at the "O2 Academy" but in order to go through with it they must sell 45 tickets or else they loose the show. This documentary will follow their journey of selling the tickets, can they do it? Will they get their big break?
