EDITING

Due to the corona (COVID-19) virus, production and editing have faced many challanges. The university has had to be closed own and the rest of the country is in lockdown meaning that everything that has been planned must be cancelled. Luckily I had finished all my filming just before the outbreak. However due to not being able to go into uni and upload my footage there, I had to store my footage on the only thing I had that was big enough, as my laptop is not in working condition. My housemate has allowed me to use there laptop when I need it as they dont have deadlines soon. I saved all the footage from one camera onto my hardrive and then handed it back to stalls before lockdown. My hard-drive has now crashed with the project saved on it , and with no way to go to a repair shop to fix it I have had to make do with all the iPhone footage and footage from my own DSLR camera meaning that most of my footage is gone as I only used the DSLR for second angles. Luckily I used the DSLR for BEAAUXX's interview as a second angle, however the I used the mic on the other mic so the sound is not great but i will try and fix that through editing. A lot of the things I wanted to include in the documentary I could not, and there was a lack of cutaway footage. There will only be one angle of the performance and no cuts due to this as well. However because I have all the footage for the music video at the end im very excited to make that look as best as I can as I feel as though editing music videos is my strong suit, Im going to make sure to edit it all on beat and also add rapid cuts back and forth to make it look like an effect.

BEAAUXX GOING TO UNIVERSITY

CONCEPT-
BEAAUXX has a tutorial coming up next week, he has already asked on my behalf for permission to film his lecturer and all is clear. I wanted to film this as I want to show the ways in which BEAAUXX   manages to balance his music career with his university degree. He has currently combined them together by making his final project the advertising campaign for his upcoming EP release. I'm going to film him on his way to uni as well as at the tutorial.

LOCATION-
University for the creative Arts Farnham- Graphics Block

PERFORMANCE AT BRIXTON JAM - 7TH MARCH 2020

LOCATION -
Brixton Jam

EQUIPMENT-
Camera-
I am going to take out the Mini journalism Kit as I want all the performance footage to be handheld and the other one would be too big, as well as take my own DSLR camera for shots on stage and offstage. Tom is going to help me and crew and be my second filmographer. I am also performing in a couple of the song so I have a friend who is experienced with filming who is going to attend the show to take my camera from me when I am performing. I will need the mic from the kit to record an interview after the performance.
Zoom-
Because it is a live performance it will be hard to record the audio with the normal mic's that comes with the journalism kit. I asked Sophie for advice and she said the best way would be to get a audio feed from the DJ Decks themselves. I went to equipment hire and asked what they thought would be best and they said that a Zoom mic would be.

LIGHTING -
The lights at brixton jam are good as they are bright and colorful.
